Group Drawing Mentorship: Wednesday Feb 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd 4pm-9pm EST

To improve our drawing we must improve our understanding of ourselves, how we think, how we feel, and how we experience. This is a very taboo subject for traditional art institutions, but I believe for the art to grow the artist must grow. Along with addressing the artist, this mentorship program emphasizes project-based learning and will provide detailed reviews of each student's work.

This class is appropriate for all levels, as feedback will be personalized. I am not interested in sending an identical message to ten unique people. Beginners will benefit from hearing the kind of feedback that more advanced students get, and advanced students will benefit from reanalyzing the fundamentals as we express them to beginners. Besides, this is the internet! There is no realistic way to gate something like this by skill level, there would always be crossover no matter how you try to break it up.

Limited to 10 students per class day. This program takes seriously the importance of having a supportive group of peers to journey through art with and nurtures friendship by being open about our struggles and confusions. The group will become a permanent cohort and the class Discord remains open indefinitely.

Classes are roughly structured as such:

-Week 1: Project-based vs skills-based learning, establishing goals, students share work

-Week 2: Early Process- How to start and research pictures

-Week 3: Late Process- How to finish pictures

-Week 4: How to Self Teach

-Class is conducted over Discord, you will need to make a free Discord account and install the Discord app to attend and participate in the community.

-Your access to the Discord channel for your unit is permanent, so you will always be able to engage with the other students and benefit from the community even after the end of the month. I will also be doing office hours in the Discord between classes.

-You can work in any medium in this class, but we will focus on hand drawing skills whether traditional or digital.

-Homework will be individually tailored to align with each student's goals and temperament.

-Refund Policy- You can cancel for a full refund up until 11:59pm EST Jan 24th. After that, your refund will decrease by $100USD each day. No refunds after the first day of class.

-After you reserve your spot I will reach out to your purchase email to provide the Discord links, answer any questions you have before starting, and gather a link to your artworks to familiarize myself with your work before class.

*Note- By joining this class you agree to allow me to record the sessions for use as samples, adverts, and paid on-demand versions of the workshop in the future. No personal information about the students will be divulged except for the name they display on Discord. These recordings will be made available free for the students after the month ends so they can review class materials and their critiques.
